Documents you’ll need
Every registered supplier must see two things before making a plate.
A driving licence; utility, Council Tax or rates bill or bank/building society statement from the last 6 months; or a national identity card. A passport or bank card proves your name only.
Your V5C logbook or its green new-keeper slip, a V750 certificate of entitlement, a V778 retention certificate, a V11 tax reminder showing the registration, a V379 temporary registration certificate, a stamped V948 (physical authorisation) or an electronic eV948 confirmation, or a letter from a fleet or lease company quoting your V5C document reference number.

Legal compliance
Every plate we make is produced to the legal requirements for number plates: the correct Charles Wright characters, correct spacing, the right reflective background (white front, yellow rear), solid black non-reflective characters, and the required supplier identification and British Standard marking.
These rules cover how a plate must be made and displayed. They’re separate from what a DVSA MOT tester checks — the MOT inspection looks at things like whether characters are correctly formed, evenly spaced, secure and not obscured; it does not check for the supplier’s name, postcode or BS number on the plate. A correctly made plate can still fail an MOT if it’s damaged, dirty, insecurely fitted or otherwise not properly displayed — meeting the legal requirements and passing an MOT are related but not the same thing.
Our Standard, 3D, 4D, 5D and Bevel styles are made to these requirements. Ghost’s specific construction and compliance information is being finalised — see the Ghost product page for its current status before ordering that style.

Report it to the police and keep the reference number, then order replacements. If you later get fines for journeys you didn't make, your registration may have been cloned — tell the police and whoever issued the fine.
